Hanging out in Birdsville
Having a few days in Birdsville while the support truck (F250) is getting fixed. Headed out to Big Red yesterday – up and over. Fantastic ride, with loads of birdlife around the billabongs….and the desert is awash with yellow and blue flowering plants…..so beautiful. Meeting lots of characters along the way: Lyn at the Birdsville Camping Ground, Adrian at the bakery and our fellow campers, Lyndie, Noel, and their delightful daughters, Adelaide and April (who have been stalking Rudi & Andy). Loads of laughs around their camp-fire last night, after a wonderful dinner cooked by Noel. Also spent an hour or so listening to John Major, an accomplished bush poet.

Hey Guys, ah it sounds SO lovely out there already I am JEALOUS especially of seeing all those beautiful flowers. Hope Rudi and Andy can keep the stalkers at bay – what lovely outback hospitality you are enjoying already. All the best with your solo bike adventure for the next little while while you are waiting for the return of the truck. How’s your bike going after its initiation in Noosa Morgan??? I am trying hard to stay enthusiastic about opting to do uni when I could have been out there with you spoiling all the boys fun!! Keep well, oh yes – its me here Corene – the technologically impaired one who is just learning about blogs!!
All good here Corene…..but keen to get out of Birdsville. My bike is going well, with Andy riding it most of the time with me on the KTM 400. The boys spent last night camping out at Big Red. Keep up the Uni and wee you soon
One day I would like to ride my horse Toby across the Simpson Desert. Maybe Taipan can come too?I like motorbikes too
